Thorsten started to play the violin at the age of 7.He played in the high school orchestra and traveled to Britain, France and Poland for several years. He picked up the guitar at the age of 16, after he thought that the guitar is the right instrument for him. He played in local bands in his hometown for a while, before he decided to study in Munich for two years at the "Munich Guitar Institute". Shortly afterwards he wanted to get serious and came to the States to study at the G.I.T. ("Musicians Institute") in Hollywood, where he graduated in 1997. Since then he has been busy teaching, composing, recording, performing and has been seen playing guitar on commercials, TV shows, music videos and movies.
